welcome back to the crafts corner so
today I have decided to do a tutorial on
tall wreath making here is the tools are
the here it's the wreath frame and you
can do them on any size that Phil makes
you feel comfortable I've done them on
smaller wreath making frames and I've
also done them on solid wood yeah solid
wood ones it just is what you personally
feel comfortable with these ones
definitely take a little bit more time I
will give you on that part they do take
more time but it's not you know out of
the woodwork that it's gonna be
something that you can't do this one is
an 18-inch wreath frame I actually I
picked this one up from Goodwill and I
got it for a dollar ninety-nine so
always hit up your local thrift shops
you never know what you're gonna find
they're like seriously I have found so
many amazing things when it comes to
like like this type of stuff I mean I
love finding half-price frames because
they're expensive
like honestly now you can go to Dollar
Tree and you can find some of the frames
I'm totally not going to deny that one
but it just depends on exactly what kind
of frame you're looking for they don't
sell this size at least in my local
Dollar Tree they do not sell this size
frame but they do sell frames there
though don't get me wrong either but
they're a little bit smaller I think
they're think they're either twelve inch
or maybe fifteen but I don't think
they're any bigger than fifteen and and
they do have the styrofoam ones as well
which those ones are nice they they are
a little bit her to work with on some
some steps but it's not like out of you
know
out-of-the-world hard so anyways this is
the frame 18 inches and then I will
start showing you what the steps are to
get this frame made okay when making a
tall wreath your the biggest thing is
gonna be cutting and I guess you could
say measuring but it's not always a
necessity to measure if it makes any
sense because with Tori's you don't have
to have everything 100% so in reality
you don't have to measure everything you
can just kind of eyeball figure it
that's how I've always done them and I
love the way that they have always
turned out so for this wreath the colors
that I'm gonna do is it's it's actually
like an orange it's not it's not a red
it's more of an orange color that's in
the package see here's I mean they look
a lot of the same color but they're
actually a red I'm sorry Orange so it's
like an orange II red I guess I won't
fairly say so Orange you read I have a
goldish Sparkle and then I also have a
yellow and then I'm gonna do inner
mixing with a little bit of black so
that is the colors and the black has
already started being cut down so I'm
just gonna start working on cutting the
rest of my clothes down to get them all
in there sizing and then what I do is I
just use Ziploc baggies to hold the
colors separate so that we're not
getting them all intermixed and stuff
like that so anyways I will I'm gonna
pull my camera down so its own view of
the colors and that way then you guys
can just see what I'm doing

okay that one fast for you guys that one
long for me okay so what I did was I cut
up all of my colors and so the next step
is you're gonna take them and you're
going to start here or start wherever
and you're going to work yourself around
each and every part of the Ring so the
fun in that is that that part takes time
so on this part you're gonna see this
video in a couple of like sets because
I'm definitely not gonna be able to
shoot the whole video at one time
because it takes sometimes it could take
hours it depends so I mean I'm making a
big one so because this is a big sized
one it's definitely unting a little bit
more time so I definitely am going to
have to break the video into two parts
and it could possibly be into three
parts but we'll figure it out when the
time comes but for sure I know that I'm
gonna have to break this into probably
two videos so anywho this is part one of
fun
next starts the real fun and that makes
it my colors anywho alright we'll see
you soon all right you guys welcome back
so today what we are going to do is we
are going to start working on putting
the tool onto the wreath itself so with
that there's multiple colors that I will
be using but today so far we're just
gonna start with the orange you've read
and we'll work ourselves around like I
said it takes a while you know I've got
two little ones
older one of a children and so it can
sometimes become a little bit of a self
issue of having the time issue of having
to stop and come back to it and stuff
because of the kids so anyways let me
get this started and that way then you
guys can see how this all works
[Music]
depending on you guys want to hook this
up that's completely I mean that's
totally up to you you can start from the
inner or you can start from the outer
there really isn't a true good way or
bad way I mean honestly you just you do
what's what fits you pretty much it's
kind of the rule of thumb so what you're
gonna do is you're gonna take yours your
strand of tulle you're going to loop it
around your finger so you're just gonna
make it like into a letter you loop it
together you're gonna leave that little
opening right there your pinch it stick
it under under the bar you're going to
take the two loose ends you will pull it
through the hole that you left available
that's all you're gonna do and you're
gonna do that all the way around step
let's do this again I'm gonna take this
strand loop it and once you get the hang
of it it does actually go much faster
I'm a little
I haven't made one for a while so it
takes a while to get kind of into the
groove but once you're into the groove
it totally is as easy so I'm gonna do
ten actually I'm gonna do five of these
of this color you're just gonna repeat
this all the way until you have five
done if there's easier ways that you
want to do it I've seen people take it
take like the Strand like this and you
just stick it in and the tie it that's
another way that you can also do it so
it's kind of up to you how you know
whatever your comfort is to me I feel
like personally I feel like it looks
fuller when you do it this way versus
the other way but there's no wrong way
to actually do this so that's one two
three four five so now we'll move to the
next section
okay so I've already finished one round
so now I'm moving on to the other ten
second round and I'm doing five of the
same colors again and I will do that
repeatedly over

so I just wanted to let you guys see
what I'm doing and I'm sitting on my bed
and doing it just because it's a little
bit easier when I'm working for a long
amount of time it's easier for me to do
it this way I am on my bed I have so
many fun things that I'm getting
together for the next DIY I am so
excited but gotta get this one done
first that's it that's the number one
three years to get this one done and
then from there I will go onto the next
thing
Esther please get out of my stuff um
anyways yeah I just want to double check
in hey I just wanted to check in with
you guys let you know where I'm at right
now on this it is it is getting done a
little bit early but it is getting done
so anyways I will check in with you guys
okay guys so I finished with the gold
and the red orange now I'm gonna go in
with yellow and I'm gonna add that into
this as well so that is my next step
okay and as I moved into doing the
yellow okay hold on
as I've turned a switch into doing the
yellow as I'm putting these ones in I'm
actually doing like every couple verses
like doing every other one I'm doing
every couple of them so like as I'm
doing them I'm just like passing through
it's kind of hard to see it obviously
because so poofy but so oops
so I put one in and then I'm gonna skip
three to three sorry and then I'll put
in another yellow and I will continue to
do that but I'm also leaving so I'm
doing every other one is how this will
turn out okay you guys so this is the
first this is the first part so this is
all the tool that I have put around on
it and remember it is a fall one so
there's yellow some orange and white
gold and then I will also include the
decorations but I just want to show you
this part so you guys can see this part
I'm okay you guys so the wreath part the
frame is finished and I mixed in down
here I left it without the yellow cuz I
didn't want to fill in too much of the
yellow but you'll totally see why when
we're completely done but we're gonna
start doing the decorating and so that
part is the most exciting part I think
out of all of it I'm gonna lift my
camera up a little
well my glue gun is heating because
that's what it's doing right now I'm
just gonna show you guys what we have to
work with to decorate so I got these
beautiful fall leaves I also have some
more fun leaves we have a scarecrow
welcome sign and then I also have some
ribbon that I already had so I'm gonna
see if I need to intertwine any of that
in with this and of course I will
definitely add a ribbon at the very back
for the hanging part so yes I am so
excited to finally be able to start
giving this all decorated because this
has been like the funnest part of the
whole the whole wreath I love doing the
this part is job tasking but the
decorating part is my ultimate favorite
part I
love love that part so anyways I'm just
gonna let my glue gun heat up and then I
will check in with you guys in just
about okay you guys so I'm working with
my scared with the Scarecrow right now
so what I did is I laid him down and I
flipped the the wreath over and I took
his string that's under him and I'm
looping it through a couple of the bars
cuz this is what's gonna give the best I
think strength to him not going anywhere
and then just tie it to the best of your
ability of course it's probably not
gonna be the easiest to tie
then this is what I usually do you can
take a couple leaves like this so what I
would suggest doing is it's clearly the
hot glue is gonna be hard
and just kind of glue a couple of these
together
I really wish I could zoom in I really
hate that I can't zoom in oh yeah we
okay then it's doing why'd you leave
here like Alden here because of me and
easier oh yeah okay so I kind of forget
I'm not pop goes rocky okay so you kind
of have a mesh of of leaves well now I
need like a green they didn't give me
like hardly any oil they put this one
okay so this is gonna be the deal here
the dealio so you take your most
prominent leaves okay because this is
what's gonna show in the back because
what you're gonna do is you're gonna be
hiding this string so you just kind of
take your most prominent leaves cuz you
want those to be what kind of shows I'm
sorry you guys from Shh go go
so you want to make sure that mr.
scarecrow is going to completely show
through as so and you can like see for
me like I I just push my stuff around to
kind of pull them out seeing it's
perfect because he matches so now what
you're gonna do you're gonna glue the
cord of this thing a little bit so it
doesn't go anywhere
that's like the biggest thing she don't
want it to untie itself and then you're
gonna stick it right on top using like
something to push it down clearly did
you don't want to burn your fingers you
just stick it down

okay you guys so here is the final
product I am and love I love every bit
of this wreath I think there's a little
of everything in it and I definitely
couldn't be more happier it's just
beautiful I love it I love it I hope you
guys enjoyed as much as I enjoyed making
it thank you for watching
